| The
Inn Team: |
The
inn has been owned by Claire St. Laurent and Tom Ertel since 1999.
Their efforts resulted in an extensive renovation to the inn that
transformed the former beach house-style inn into a modern, upscale
property that was complete in July, 2001. Susan DaRoza and Tara Forrest
manage the inn day-to-day and are loved by guests for their hospitality
and valuable recommendations that help guests make the most of their
time in the Santa Cruz area. |
| Location:
|
The
Pleasure Point Inn's oceanfront location is on the corner of 37th
Avenue and East Cliff Drive in a coastal neighborhood where local
surfers ride the Pleasure Point break from sunrise to sunset every
day. Just .5 miles from Capitola, the inn is central to nearby attractions
in Capitola and Santa Cruz. |
| Activities: |
The Santa Cruz
area has a lot to offer travelers - especially those who love the
outdoors. A beautiful trail passes along the front of the inn where
people can walk, bike or run along the coast. The Pleasure Point
Beach is literally steps away from our front door. The lively restaurants,
quaint shops and popular beach of Capitola Village are 2 miles from
the inn. Active travelers can take advantage of the easy access
to water sports that include surfing, kayaking, deep-sea fishing
and sailing. The area also has fantastic hiking trails all across
the county. Surprising to many, Santa Cruz has a number of small,
reputable wineries where visitors can sample wines and picnic on
their scenic grounds.
|
| The
Bay: |
The
inn overlooks the Monterey Bay, which was designated as a National
Marine Sanctuary in 1992. Because of this designation, the bay's natural
beauty and marine environment are protected by the US Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration.
|
| Getting

International Airport, 65 miles from the San Francisco International
Airport, and 35 miles from the city of Monterey. |
