Santa Cruz,
Calif., December 4, 2002 - The Pleasure Point Inn, an upscale bed
and breakfast located in Santa Cruz, California, was honored as
the "B&B/Inn with the Best Package Deal" in the 2003
Book of Lists published by Arrington's Bed & Breakfast Journal.
This marks the second consecutive year that the Pleasure Point Inn
has received the top spot in a Book of Lists category after being
voted "B&B/Inn with the Best Seaside View" in the
2002 ranking.
The Book of
Lists highlights the results of a national contest in which inn-goers
voted for top bed and breakfasts in a variety of categories. The
ballot is available in the December, 2002 issue of Arrington's Bed
and Breakfast Journal.
The Pleasure
Point Inn won the award with its "Coastal Escapes" spa
package. Designed for two adults, this package features two nights
at the Mediterranean-style inn, an in-room massage for both guests,
reservations for tours and wine tasting at local wineries, dinner
reservations and an expanded continental breakfast each morning.
The inn's spectacular ocean views and elegant accommodations create
an ideal setting for a coastal getaway. Package prices range from
$535 to $668.
"We created
the spa package to make it very easy for guests to plan a complete
getaway," said Claire St. Laurent, who jointly owns the inn
with Tom Ertel. "We are thrilled with the success of the package
and are very thankful to our guests for the Book of Lists honor."
Two sports-themed
packages are also available for travelers who want to experience
the ocean sports that Santa Cruz is known for. The "Room and
Board" surf package ($563 - $696) includes a two-night stay
at the inn and surf lessons with Club Ed Surf School for two adults.
The "Sunset over the Monterey Bay" kayak package ($517
- $650) features two nights at the inn and a guided, 2.5 hour kayak
tour of the ocean at sunset for two adults.
Jonathan Lauterbach,
who was recently named operations manager of the Pleasure Point
Inn, can help guests design individual itineraries to suit their
preferences as well.
