A BED AND BREAKFAST WITH MODERN FLAIR: BREATHTAKING OCEAN VIEWS, DELUXE AMENITIES AND ACCOMMODATING SERVICE DISTINGUISH INN

Santa Cruz, Calif., July 19, 2001 - Santa Cruz, California area visitors have an enticing new choice for upscale accommodations with the opening of the Pleasure Point Inn. Overlooking the Monterey Bay, the Inn's beautiful surroundings combine with its distinctively modern, elegant and comfortable ambiance to create a rare find for travelers.

Owners Tom and Claire provide guests with unexpected amenities that cannot be found in most other accommodations. Hand-painted wall tiles in every bathroom, private patios, gas fireplaces, hardwood floors, down comforters and custom-made furnishings are among the special amenities in each guest room. Additionally, some rooms feature heated bathroom floor tiles and Jacuzzi bathtubs.

"Our concept was to combine the uniqueness and personalized service typically found in bed and breakfast inns with the modernity, privacy and prime location of upscale hotels," said Pleasure Point Inn co-owner, Claire Dyer. "We created something new and I feel it will be ideal for pleasure and business travelers who want a hassle-free place to unwind."

In the mornings, guests can enjoy an expanded continental breakfast while viewing the ocean from the spacious dining room or the outdoor rooftop deck. Designated as a space for all guests, the rooftop deck features a large eight-person hot tub, tables, chaise lounges and a heated gas lamp for all day use.

Visitors can easily take advantage of the ocean walkways, sandy beaches, shops, restaurants and evening entertainment in Santa Cruz and nearby Capitola from the Inn's prime location on 37th Avenue and East Cliff Drive in the Pleasure Point neighborhood. The Inn is also close to the historic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk amusement park.
